Context

Hundreds of millions of amateur gamers play every day without earning anything from it. Live2Play was created so players can bet on themselves: create a match, set the amount, find an opponent at the same level, and let the winner take the prize, an opportunity previously limited to professional players.

What we built

  • Match creation and matchmaking between players, considering skill level and wager range.
  • A wallet and settlement of the wagered amount to the winner.
  • Fair play rules and mechanisms to keep matches balanced.
  • Community features: profiles, history, rankings, and player interaction.
  • An administration dashboard to operate the platform, moderate, and monitor transactions.

The challenge

Balance and security. Unbalanced matches undermine the platform: matchmaking had to consider skill and wager amounts so beginners and experienced players would not meet in the same bet. With money exchanged between users, the platform also required security controls, result integrity, and an interaction experience that kept the community engaged.

Results

A platform where players bet on their own skills, with matched games and a community governed by fair play, serving beginners and experienced players alike. The product covered matchmaking through settlement, with operations managed by the Live2Play team.
