Context

Millions of tax receipts are printed and discarded every day. Kallytor was created to deliver receipts electronically, straight from the retailer's checkout to the consumer, using less paper and providing an organized purchase history.

What we built

  • Integration with retailers' checkout systems to send tax receipts to the platform at the time of sale.
  • A consumer app centralizing all receipts by store and date.
  • Personal finance management based on purchases: users see how much they spent, where, and on what.
  • An establishment dashboard to monitor adoption and digital receipt issuance.

The challenge

Integrating heterogeneous checkout systems — every chain has its own — without slowing lines or requiring changes to store operations. Receipts had to reach the app within seconds with intact tax data, and the platform needed to scale to a retail chain's volume.

Results

A platform that simplifies consumers' tax receipt management and reduces paper receipts for retailers. Checkout integration makes the product viable: without it, this would be another expense tracking app; with it, receipts arrive automatically.
